Bishop Christopher, the former Bishop of Coventry, has written a letter of thanks to the diocese.
Dear Friends,
It’s now over a month since my Farewell Service in the Cathedral on 4th November. It was a wonderful gathering. I’m so grateful to all those who helped to plan and lead the service and to those who were able to be there on the day, as well as those who couldn’t make it but sent greetings. I was overwhelmed to see the Cathedral full and deeply grateful for all your support. And then the gift-giving and lovely words after the service . . .. Among the gifts was an incredibly generous set of John Lewis vouchers. We will put them to very good use here in the Deanery – thank you so very much.
We’re settling into the new life here in Windsor and with Christmas nearly upon us, there have been many opportunities to meet the Community. There will be many blessings here, I’m sure, but also much to miss. Please know that Charlotte and I carry in our hearts such happy memories of you and the whole Diocese as we venture on.
With thanks again and love in Christ, and all the blessing for Christmas and the New Year.
Yours,
+ Christopher
