What is available?
There is a long standing tradition that Deanery Chapters enable clergy to meet together for fellowship, mutual support, encouragement and challenge. All clergy are welcome to suggest new ways of doing this better.
Some deaneries also offer cluster cell groups for clergy which can provide a more discreet and confidential setting for “bearing one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6.2), mutual encouragement and prayer.
Clergy are encouraged to belong to some such cell group or equivalent (in or outside the deanery).
Who is eligible?
Licensed clergy are expected to play a full part in the life of the Deanery Chapter. Some chapters also welcome non-licensed clergy; however, this usually depends on the number of clergy within the deanery.
