Canon Mary Gregory talks about the Community of the Cross of Nails (CCN) and the importance of local partners in the diocese.
The CCN is a worldwide network of some 260 churches, charities, chaplaincies, peace-building and retreat centres, schools and other educational and training organisations, all inspired by the Coventry story of destruction, rebuilding and renewal, and active in reconciliation in their own ways.
The three guiding principles are; healing the wounds of history, learning to live with difference and celebrate diversity, and building a culture of justice and peace.
One of the notable aspects of the CCN is its emphasis on practical action. While deeply rooted in Christian faith and tradition, the community welcomes people of all backgrounds who are committed to the cause of peace.
Reconciliation lies at the heart of the CCN and Mary tells us about a recent example of reconciliation at Coventry Cathedral in the above video.
