ROC (Redeeming Our Communities) has considerable experience of hosting ’ROC Conversations’ community engagement initiatives having conducted over 250 of them across the UK.
Debra Green OBE, National Director of ROC explains:
“The two hour event is both simple and effective. We bring statutory agencies, key community individuals and members of community groups and faith groups together to celebrate the good work taking place in the community. Between us, we then determine where any gaps in provision may be and, critically, see what each person present can offer to bridge the gap. The conversation always leads to action … and positive change in the local community.
If you represent a local community group, you can bring your pop-up banner along (you need to be set up there by 6pm) together with some of your leaflets and share what you are doing in your community (contact info@roc.uk.com to book your space for free).
As ROC is all about safer communities we are delighted to have received an invitation from West Midlands Police to conduct a Conversation in Coventry."

Bishop Christopher said:
"ROC (Redeeming Our Communities) Conversations provide important opportunities to draw together statutory agencies, organisations and other key people within communities to work together for positive change. The Conversations applaud that which is already good and flourishing within a community and, importantly, identify areas requiring improvement in provision, and how best Conversation participants can work collaboratively to implement change. This deeply compassionate approach, harnessing the keen interest and involvement of local people in partnership with the statutory agencies, has a proven track record of bringing about effective change where it is required, and I warmly commend the ROC Conversations to you."
