Racial Justice Sunday (RJS) is a call for all Christians to engage in the righteous struggle for racial justice because racial justice is everyone’s business.
This year's Racial Justice Sunday takes place on the 13th February 2022 and the theme is "Racial Justice: What’s it got to do with me?"
Racial Justice Sunday is an ecumencial event which started in 1995 and since has been widely celebrated in Britain and Ireland. Each year Churches Together in Britain and Ireland produce a resource with ideas and material to use in services. The resource gives the opportunity for all churches to focus on the three ‘R’s of ‘Remembering’, ‘Reflecting’ and ‘Responding’:
- Remembering the importance of racial justice.
- Reflecting on human diversity and thanking God for it.
- Responding by working to end injustice, racism and ignorance through
prayer and action.
You can also find resources on our Racial Justice portal on our website. There are a number of written and video resources for you to use.
