The Revd Eleanor Jeans, Associate Minister at St Paul's Leamington, writes about the new Myriad Learning Community.
Myriad's aim is to support the planting of thousands of new predominantly lay-led Worshipping Communities throughout the Church of England and churches in England over the next ten years. Our first Myriad Learning Community will be starting on the 18th to 19th October 2024 at St Paul's Leamington. This is a great opportunity for anyone exploring starting something new, or wanting to develop something recently started.
A learning community helps those who take part to learn and journey together. There will be support from the team (which includes both Leamington and Bedworth Mission Hubs) along with mentoring and teaching over two years. I have had the benefit of taking part in a couple of learning communities and they are a wonderful way to grow a sense of direction, vision and strategy for mission.
Do you have a seed of an idea for a new worshipping community? Or have you recently begun something new, or even inadvertently realised you have started a new worshipping community? Well, Myriad could be for you. You will need support from your incumbent, and a small team to join you, but why not consider it. I'd be happy to chat more!
