As part of the Diocesan Growth strategy, we have recruited four Associate Ministers who are based at the Mission Hub churches and who are here to serve all parishes in response to Bishop Christopher's invitation to grow a new worshipping community from each parish or benefice by 2030.
Find out more about each of them here:
Eleanor Jeans
Eleanor Jeans is the Associate Minister with the Mission Hub at St Paul’s, Leamington Spa and moved there after 8 years as an Associate Vicar in Kettering.
Having been a schools’ worker in inner city Manchester, Eleanor would love to support anyone looking to grow this ministry, whether that be collective worship all the way through to new worshipping communities. Eleanor trained as a professional violinist and as well as leading worship in churches has a passion for using music in outreach (and has run community gospel choirs). As a single person, she is also keen to find ways to support single people in churches and seek ways to reach them with the good news of Jesus. Eleanor loves to get to know people and would very happily chat with anyone seeking to see what God is doing in their community.
Abby Rhodes
Abby Rhodes is the Associate Minister with the Mission Hub at St Laurence’s in Foleshill, Coventry.
Abby has a passion for leading worship in all kinds of styles and traditions and particularly loves musical worship, having spent the 8 years before training for ordination as a professional soprano and vocal coach. She also worked for several years prior to that in public sector communications, so is always looking at how to get a message across in the best possible way. She really enjoys working with all kinds of people to discern gifts and skills and find ways of developing them, encouraging them to tell their own story in the best possible ways.
Abby wants as many people as possible to know the hope, joy and peace that the love of Jesus brings. She can’t wait to work with lots of different communities and join with what God is doing through and in local churches.
Daniel Corlett
Daniel Corlett is the Associate Minister with the Alcester Minster (Rural) Mission Hub. He is also an Assistant Rural Life Officer for the Diocese. Having spent a chunk of his career helping people to launch new businesses and charities, and another part of it restructuring and merging organisations, he can offer coaching, training and support to churches looking to launch new things or find new ways of working.
Daniel brings with him a passion for the environment, farming and rural life, and above all for the transformative effect of the gospel on people and communities.
Erin Gilmour
Erin Gilmour is the Associate Minister with the Mission Hub at St Johns Westwood, Coventry. A true Northern Irish gal Erin loves anything to do with tea, coffee, cake and community. Having been part of a missional community in Northern Ireland, Erin has a strong passion for prayer and evangelism. Moving to England in 2010 she was a youth worker in south west London. She has experience of working with schools, prisons and detach work in the local community. She loves preaching and sharing her story of transformation and the good news of Jesus to anyone and everyone she meets.
The one thing that gives Erin the most joy is seeing the transforming power of God at work. Her vision is to empower and equip the local church to become hubs of transformation for their local communities, making a difference every day.
