We are pleased to announce that Nigel Campbell will be joining the Diocese of Coventry as our Property Manager from Thursday 27 February. Nigel will enjoy a brief hand over period with our outgoing Property Manager, Peter Fowles.
Nigel Writes:
I am a Property Manager with over 10 years experience of managing teams and residential leasehold properties (residential blocks and estates) shared ownership properties and leasehold schemes for the elderly (private retirement schemes). This includes managing all services and repairs associated with the properties and developments that I manage.
After graduating I worked for The Department for Work and Pensions as an Administrator and Benefits Assessor. Subsequently, I then moved into my first housing role as a Housing Administrator and Leasehold Property Manager for a small social housing provider in Birmingham, it was at this time where I decided that I wanted to develop and build a career in housing. I took a keen interest in housing and its associated subject areas and I undertook and completed a degree in social housing. I sought a better understanding in terms of how housing and a secure safe home is very important for our health and wellbeing . Over the years I have worked for various social housing landlords and private sector managing agents.
I live with my partner and our children; my son is 16 years old and daughter of 13 years old. Currently we are both trying to support our son as he prepares to undertake his GCSEs. In my spare time I like to explore different restaurants to visit as a family and try different types of food. I also have a keen interest in film and we enjoy going out to the cinema as a family.
I am looking forward to commencing my new role, meeting the team, Clergy, residents, clients and helping the Diocese of Coventry meet its housing targets and goals
