Facebook flooded with Palm Crosses

On Sunday 5th April over 200 people from our diocese flooded Facebook with their homemade Palm Crosses, providing messages of hope in the current coronavirus pandemic.

Last week, Tim Mitchell, our Healthy Churches Development Mentor, challenged everyone in the Diocese of Coventry to make a Palm Cross, display it in their window and post a selfie with it on Facebook at 5pm on Palm Sunday.

The response was fantastic with 230 people posting photos of their crosses on Facebook. Many people chose to write ‘Changing Church’ across the cross with another message down the middle such as ‘Unchanging God’ or ‘God is Faithful’.

This Sunday we are encouraging everyone to post a colourful, decorated cross at 5pm to celebrate Easter. Don’t forget to tag us on Facebook so we can share  them!
