E-Learning for Parish Staff and Volunteers

We have now released free eLearning for you to use for your Parish staff and volunteers on the following important topics:

These are “Equality and Diversity”, “Unconscious Bias” and “Sexual Harassment in the Workplace”.

They are all very important topics, but in particular the “Sexual Harassment in the Workplace” is essential. The government have made changes to how sexual harassment is addressed and the onus is firmly placed on the employer to ensure that they do everything possible to prevent sexual harassment.

You should ensure that your employees retake this eLearning every 18 months, so that these important issues are highlighted periodically.

These eLearning modules should take between 30-45 minutes each to complete.

All requests to complete these courses must come from the Line managers, Incumbents or PCC members.

To access these courses, you will need to do the following:

  • Your employee or volunteer will need to create an account on the EquipHub by creating an account using this link Home Page - Equip Hub
  • You will then need to email ParishHR@Coventry.Anglican.org with the following details:
    • Employee/Volunteer's full name
    • Employee/Volunteer's email address
    • The Parish name
    • The courses that you wish for them to complete
  • Once this has been set up, both you and your employee/volunteer will be emailed to confirm how to access these courses
  • There are tests as part of the course, and as long as your employee/volunteer achieves 80% pass rate, then a certificate will be emailed to them directly. There is another opportunity to re-take the test at the end of each course, if they do not achieve 80% the first time round.

With regard to the Unconscious Bias eLearning, if your employee/ volunteer is on the Pathways programme, then they do not need to do this eLearning module as well, as Unconscious Bias is covered as part of the Pathways programme. Our Diocese also runs an in-person fuller and more interactive in person Unconscious bias awareness session, should you wish your employees or volunteers to attend this as well.
