Youth Project Lead - Together for Change     

7 hours per week 

£5,998 per annum plus 9% Employer Pension Contributions (£30,000 FTE equivalent).

This post is initially for two-years and may be extended as further funding becomes available.

This post holder will work at our Saints Central location in Nuneaton to lead our Saints Student Lounge Youth program, whilst also partnering with the local college and parish church, to bring about positive community transformation that benefits young people between the ages of 11-18. 

Saints Central launched the busy and well-established Saints Student Lounge program in 2021 to support young people between the ages of 11-18 with access to a safe place to receive assisted study, eat and engage in fun educational workshops. 

We will expand our Student Lounge by partnering with a local college to connect with the young people during term-time and aim to meet young people who are currently not met by the local church by partnering with the local parish church, St Nicholas, during the term-time and the school holidays.

Volunteer – Support Person

The Role of Volunteer Support Person

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Do you believe in the power of compassion, empathy, and practical support? The Diocese of Coventry is seeking Volunteer Support Persons to walk alongside victims/survivors as they navigate the church safeguarding process. This is a unique opportunity to offer emotional and practical support, helping individuals feel heard, valued, and respected.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Be a compassionate point of contact: Provide empathetic, non-judgmental support, listening actively and validating the experiences of those you help.
  • Empower and advocate: Foster a sense of agency, helping individuals make informed choices and ensuring their voices are present in safeguarding discussions.
  • Guide and inform: Offer clarity on church safeguarding procedures, supporting victims and survivors through formal processes and ensuring their journey is survivor-centred.
  • Coordinate and communicate: Act as a bridge between survivors and the Diocesan Safeguarding Team, ensuring clear, timely, and supportive communication.
  • Resource and referral management: Help individuals access resources, support networks, and additional services, both within and outside the church.

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience providing support or care to individuals affected by trauma or abuse.
  • Training or experience in trauma-informed care, pastoral care, counselling, or social work.
  • Empathy, sensitivity, and a compassionate approach.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the Church of England’s safeguarding policies and the Responding Well guidance.

This voluntary post reports to the Director of safeguarding

Are you ready to make a real difference in someone’s life during a challenging time?

The Diocese of Coventry is seeking Volunteer Link Persons to support individuals who are the subject of safeguarding allegations. This vital role offers emotional support, clear communication, and guidance throughout the safeguarding process, all within the Church of England’s Managing Allegations policy framework.

As a Link Person, you will be a trusted point of contact, helping individuals navigate complex circumstances with compassion, integrity, and care.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Communication and Information: Be a consistent, reliable point of contact, offering timely updates and accessible guidance about each step of the safeguarding process.
  • Emotional Support and Well-being: Provide compassionate, non-judgmental support, helping individuals manage stress and concerns, and signposting to additional resources as needed.
  • Fair Process and Confidentiality: Ensure individuals understand their rights, emphasising confidentiality and privacy protections, and supporting adherence to Church guidelines.
  • Coordination with Safeguarding Authorities: Liaise with the Diocesan Safeguarding Team and other authorities, acting as an intermediary to foster mutual understanding and respect.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain confidential, accurate records of interactions, ensuring all documentation meets data protection and safeguarding standards.
  • Referrals and External Resources: Inform and facilitate access to diocesan or external support services, such as pastoral care or counselling.

What we are looking for;

Operations Manager - The Bridge

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to bring oversight and leadership to the life of our growing family of churches in Coventry. This key role supports ministry and mission by managing HR, finance, safeguarding, communications, media, and events, while leading our operations and admin team.

If you are organised, proactive, a strong communicator, and passionate about helping churches run smoothly, we’d love to hear from you. This is an opportunity to use your skills to make a real difference every day as part of a committed and supportive team.

  • Salary: £31,200 (pro rata).

  • Contract: 12 months Fixed Term

  • Hours: 25 hours per week with flexible and hybrid working. Shared Office facilities are provided.

  • Location: The Bridge offices and churches within the Benefice.

  • Probation: To be reviewed after 3 months.

  • DBS: A DBS check is required for this role.

  • Pension: Legal & General (5%)

  • Annual Leave: 5 weeks (pro rata) plus Public/Bank Holidays

This role requires a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) for the candidate to be a Christian because it is an active role within a Christian Church.

St Giles Church Exhall: Growing Faith Family Link Worker

£16848 + pension scheme (24 hours per week)(including some evening and weekend work with possible flexible working arrangement)

The ability for the Church of England in its schools and churches to grow the Christian faith in families is key to the evangelisation of the country. The Growing Faith initiative envisions children, young people and households coming to faith, growing in discipleship and contributing confidently to the Kingdom of God through the community of faith.

The role of the Growing Faith Family Link Worker is to provide the dedicated time and professional input that are essential if we are to be successful in Growing Faith. With a focus on collaborative working with primary schools in our parish, this role will enable and facilitate the growth of faith in children and families, building strategic and fruitful links between church, home and school.

This role has a strong pioneering thread running through it, by which we mean being the first to lead ministry and initiatives into new places for and with others. Pioneers are people able to see a new future, and have the skills and gifts needed to make that a reality.

We are seeking to recruit a Growing Faith Family Link Worker who has:

  • a vibrant Christian faith

  • a passion for enabling children, young people and families to grow in faith

  • a desire to see schools, churches and families working together to transform and bless their communities.

The post holder should have experience of working with youth/children’s work in a paid or voluntary capacity, experience of supporting families, excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of audiences, including children, parents, teachers and governing bodies.

Our Growing Faith Family Link Worker would be based at St Giles Church, Exhall, liaising and working with the various primary schools in our parish.
