His Royal Highness Prince Philip

On Friday 9th April, Her Majesty The Queen announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.

 

Message from the Bishop of Coventry

Upon hearing the announcemnt of the death of His Royal Highness, the Bishop of Coventry said:

"With people across Coventry and Warwickshire, I mourn the passing of His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, and I give thanks for the great energy and dedication of His long life of service. I pray for Her Majesty The Queen and for the whole Royal Family, that in the midst of grief and loss, they may know the peace and strength of God."

Later that day, Bishop Christopher preached a sermon at Coventry Cathedral.
