On 6th February this year Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, there will be a four day UK bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June.

The Church of England have published the liturgical resources for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. These include special prayers approved by the Royal Household, an outline Service of Thanksgiving, and other material.

St Laurence Church Ansley
St Laurence Church Ansley will be open on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. with the Millennium History Display of the parish around the church with light refreshments available.
The display is a scrap book of the last 1000 years which originally was 60ft long and 4ft high but has now been put into 68 A1 sheets.
All Saints Church, Burton Dassett
All Saints will be hosting a flower festival from Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 5th June to mark the Queen's Jubilee. There will be afternoon teas and musical performances. Click here for the poster.
St Oswald's Church, Rugby
At St Oswald's Church, Rugby, we will be putting on a 1950's style fete, where everything is free, as a way of serving our community. This will take place on Saturday June 3rd from 2-4pm. The idea is to lay on an event with simple games, home-made cakes, 1950's style entertainment, and various ways of engaging people spiritually.
St Mary & All Saints Church, Fillongley
St Mary & All Saints Church, Fillongley are hosting the Knitted Bible Exhibition over the Platinum Jubilee Week.
33 nationally acclaimed Bible stories knitted by hand and brought together in one amazing exhibition.
Parishioners at St George’s United Reformed Church Hartlepool created the exhibition, which consists of 33 knitted Biblical scenes depicting stories such as Adam and Eve, The Last Supper, Noah’s Ark and of course, The Nativity. It has been touring the country for a number of years with the aim of engaging both school children and members of the public.
The church will be open on Saturday 28th May 11-5, Sunday 29th May 12-5, Thursday 2nd June 11-5, Friday 3rd June 11-5, Saturday 4th June 11-5 and Sunday 5th June 12-5
Private group bookings outside of these hours are available.

St Paul's, Foleshill
Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd June:
St Paul’s Church will be open from 10 am until 4 pm to people of all faiths and none. An opportunity to look around the church, discover its history and enjoy some light refreshments. A small beacon will be lit Thursday evening to join the National celebration of light.
Saturday 4th June Jubilee Fete:
St Paul’s Church will be opening its door to the public from 12 midday until 5pm. Children’s craft club, poetry competition results, 70 years of music, craft fair, face painting, open church with history wall, where were you in ’52, tombola’s, refreshments throughout the day.
Sunday 5th June:
Our doors will open again at 9:15 am for a Celebration of Faith in a combined service of St Paul’s Church and Eden Church, Foleshill starting at 10am. Refreshments will follow the service.
