Today we launched our Advent and Christmas resource hub. Created by members of the Serving Christ team, the Advent and Christmas hub is full of ideas, suggestions and resources that churches can tailor to their needs.
The day Jesus was born was a very unusual Christmas. Very few people had prepared for it, those that did may not have understood the significance that it had! While there has not been a Christmas that meets the significance of that first Christmas there have been many other unusual Christmases since and this is one of them.
With Advent and Christmas fast approaching many of us are busy planning without knowing quite what shape the season and celebrations will take. With this in mind, the Serving Christ team have created and sourced a range of resources that can be adapted to fit in with government guidelines around worship services.
There are resources and ideas for everyone – from crafts to make together with the whole family, to books to read alone or as part of a small group, and from liturgy to use in your services to online events to attend – plus more!
Jen Stewart from the Serving Christ Team says;
“We hope that these resources will provide lots of inspiration and ideas you can adapt for your own context and that they will provide opportunities to encounter God personally, and to connect with others and share the story of Jesus with your community. We particularly pray they will be a blessing to and ease the burden of those charged with planning church activities and services.”
The team will be continually adding to the resource hub in the run up to Advent and Christmas.
You can find the resource hub here. Please do share with friends who may be interested.
